Ceramic Garlic Grater

Ceramic Garlic Grater

Grating garlic is an unpleasant job.  You can either use a knife to finely chop the garlic clove or use a metal squeezer that you slot the clove into and squeeze so that it is crushed out of the holes – all rather messy!

Women’s Thoughts is always trying to find gadgets that make life easier in the kitchen, hence this super garlic gadget!

The Ceramic Garlic Grater sounds so simple and it really is easy to use and mess free!

Simply pop the garlic clove into the rubber tube, roll a few times and the skin will peel and so easily removed.

Hold the garlic clove between your thumb and index finger with the root pointing up and the tip pointing down.  Grate the garlic over the bottom of the ceramic dish and then as the pulp forms, you can either gather it in the middle of the dish with the help of the brush.  As you do, the pulp will form into a ball.
Simply turn the dish upside down and all the pulp will fall out!

Always rinse the ceramic grater under running water before you either wash it by hand or put it into the dishwasher.

Such an easy way to grate garlic, a well thought of gadget!

Garlic graters are available from many online stores and vary in price from as little as £5.00 for the dish to £10 – 12.00 for the set.

They can also be used for grating ginger!

You can purchase via Amazon on the picture link.

Store your garlic in a cool, dark place. Avoid damp air as this will encourage the garlic to sprout. If the temperature is too high the cloves will eventually turn into powder.
