Everyone is talking about....Jamie Oliver Party Plan
Staying in, is the new going out!
Jamie at Home, the new party plan, launched on 23rd March 2009 is Jamie Oliver’s newest business venture.
We, at Women’s Thoughts, attended an evening in Nantwich along with 100 other women and 2 men, to hear all about it.
Our hostess was Clare Emerton, a lovely young woman who has worked in direct selling for a number of years. Clare was supported by other woman, Tonya, who is The Executive Director for the North West and other Team Leaders in her area.
Jamie at Home is principally based on Jamie’s desire to get us all entertaining in the home and the company went live on 23rd March 2009.
Jamie’s aim is that the parties will include, “fun, food and having a laugh with your friends.” You can expect fun recipes, tips and a quiz on cooking. There will also be a DVD played with Jamie himself doing a cookery demonstration of a recipe that is unique to the party plan. We watched Jamie prepare Banoffee Mess. It looked fab!
Amongst the Jamie Oliver cookware are pottery, glasses, cutlery and wood ware which would grace any kitchen or dining room. Other items on offer are for outside entertaining, cloches to keep bugs off your food, candles and linens, tea towels, oven gloves, etc. We particularly liked the look of the “Bangers Bucket” which is a BBQ in a bucket for the beach or other impromptu situation.
Jamie’s “Antipasti Platter” is also something he developed himself and which we thought was a novel idea. Raising food up and creating an extra level for the table. Use it for putting food on directly or for food in containers. Flat packed for easy storage but as Jamie said himself; it is useful in the kitchen to create extra storage space. His hand wash smelt lovely and is designed to rid hands of strong smells such as onion and complimented with a handcream.
60% of the products cost under £25. Products will be added to later in the year with new brochures available.
The party plan is unique to Jamie at Home. There is a Hostess Loyalty Programme whereby hostesses will earn points from sales and from parties being booked by others during their evening. Every party will earn them 15% commission. There is also a recipe holder and recipe cards to collect with each party held.
If you would be interested in holding one of the first parties then give Clare a call on 0771 239 7639 or email her at clare.emerton@btopenworld.com Clare will be able to put you in touch with the approprite Team Leader for your area of the country. Please mention Women`s Thoughts when contacting Clare.
