More and more farm shops are opening throughout the country. These little havens are full of fresh locally grown produce, such as meats, dairy produce and often cakes baked in the community. It is often organically grown, has low food miles and is eco-friendly.
The farm shops also promote and supply goods from other small rural businesses.
Some have opened coffee or tea shops and together with the selling of gifts makes shopping an enjoyable and stress free environment to be in.

Farmers Markets are also becoming very popular and another way to support your local farmers producing their own meat as well as those producing and selling homegrown fruit and vegetables, fresh cut flowers and many more small independent retailers.
