Holby City star Amanda Mealing – from breast cancer to the Virgin London Marathon

She’s best known for her starring roles in Holby City and Strike Back, but Amanda Mealing is hoping to become known for another role later this year – that of marathon runner.

The actress will line up in the Virgin London Marathon in April for Team PB which will raise money for both the Prostate Cancer Charity and Breast Cancer Care, a charity close to her heart after she fought the disease following the birth of her second child.

And she’s urging people who are running the marathon to run for Team PB which will call on their runners to take part in the theme for Race Day, by running with their underwear over their usual athletic gear to help highlight both causes.
