Can we be free of wrinkles???
last updated Thursday 17th February 2011 - 15:19Once into the late 30s of life, is it not true that we start to check our faces constantly for signs of aging? Aaagghhh! Our beauty regime steps up a gear, that is of course, if you no longer have small children! Forget it, if you have! There’s hardly time to clean your teeth and brush your hair let alone, cleanse, tone, moisturise. Totally forget the face masks on a Sunday morning, the exfoliation, refiners, etc, etc
Into our forties and those laughter lines appear. Crows feet, good grief what an awful expression!
Then we have worry lines! Angry frown lines! Can we blame our kids for these? Or possible our partners?
Bags under our eyes. Children again, not enough sleep, firstly from night feeds and then laterly from all the worry they bring us!
Drooping cheeks! ( Saggy bums not included here!)
An extra chin! Moustache lines! Dribble lines! Neck wrinkles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people seem to have nice wrinkles. Some seem to have far fewer!
So what can we do?
Beauty Treatments ?
Are all these expensive beauty products worth the money we fork out? What about the beauty treatments? I recently paid £500 for a course of 10 treatments that were supposed to give me a non surgical face lift. To get the best out of this when I was investing so much money, I was persuaded by the therapist to part with another £180 for the products!
After each treatment I came home and asked my husband, “Do I look any younger yet?” I asked my girlfriends, “Do I look any younger yet?” Everyone laughed! Obviously not then!!!
Put it this way and very simply, I will not be going back for another course!
So how about Botox? Not for me thanks! I`ve examined my friends faces who have had this procedure down and I, for one, would rather be able to use my face to show my expressions. Not have it fixed, unable to raise my eye brows in surprise. Hold on, maybe that should be, I`d rather not look surprised 24/7!
Next comes wrinkle fillers. How about Tri-Atkiline? Well to be honest I was using this before my non surgical face lift! I must admit I did think it was beginning to make a slight difference but I hadn’t given it the full 4 weeks!
How about the natural facelift? For this you need a book with instructions. Try sitting in front of a mirror reading this and get to grips with fingers, wrinkles, knuckles, pressure, colour changing skin, blood flowing, rubbing…………..
Far too time consuming and difficult balancing a book whilst trying to read and holding the wrinkles………
The one tip I will give you, lie on your back whilst you sleep. That way you will help prevent the wrinkles on your décolletage getting any deeper! Yes, I agree. It’s easier said than done.
I might go to sleep on my back but my husband cajoles me onto my side at some point in the night, so he can cuddle up and hey presto, gravity forces my top most boob to weigh down on the one underneath thats agains the mattress. They produce those V shaped lines that match my V necked sweaters!
I have given in and am just growing old gracefully. We cannot hold back the sands of time!
