Start the new year by clearing the clutter from your bedroom.

Your wardrobe is probably harbouring items of clothing that have not seen the light of day for decades!   Am I right? Do you really need to keep them?

There are a variety of storage boxes and gadgets that can keep your wardrobe in order, which all helps for a tidy, more efficient room as well as being a more tidier and efficient being.

These clear plastic shoe boxes are great for stacking and for being able to see the items inside. You can also save pennies by using the original shoe boxes (if you still have them), taking a photograph of the shoes and sticking it on the end of the box, visible for you to see at a glance!

Throw out those saggy knickers – you know – the big comfy ones that have lost their elasticity and discoloured in the wash?
‘Nobody’s going to see me in these’ you say to yourself, but the smarter you feel underneath your attire the more you will ooze that extra ounce of confidence.

The same goes for the’ Nora Batty’ tights and the bras that leave your boobs bungee jumping every time you go out in one.  Just because you bosoms no longer stand pert on their own, doesn’t mean to say that they still shouldn’t be able to see straight ahead, rather than always looking at your feet!  THROW THEM OUT!

Drawer inserts are also available for – socks, bras, briefs.  Or you can adapt your own by using any leftover cardboard from Christmas gifts, either cover in fabric or patterned paper and use as dividers in your drawers.

Divide your clothes in the wardrobe into longer items one side then skirts and trousers with blouses and tops.
If you are lucky your wardrobe may already be designed to take two rows of shorter items of clothing.

Colour your clothes, commencing with white at one end shading down to black at the other end.  So much time is lost looking for a particular item, that if you know what colour it is, then there are fewer clothes to scramble through!

Invest in some decent hangers too!

All these obvious (you think, but do you put them into practice?) tips, makes for a less stress free way of life, as well as keeping you looking top doe!

Many of these items are available from:-

Dunelm, Lakeland Plastics or some supermarkets.
