last updated Sunday 22nd May 2011 - 17:57Inthe winter season of 2008 shoes had even higher heels than previously seen before and they were set to get even higher! Back in the 1970s, we were warned of the dangers of wearing high heels. We were told how it would alter our posture and make child birth more difficult. Who wears shoes with such high heels? Fashionistas and celebrities? The young at heart? Those seeking some instant pick me up from the “credit crunch”?
Women love shoes! It is a well known fact and men just seem bemused by it!

Apparantly not ladies. It has been reported that the NHS spend £40 million a year treating people wtih injuries sustained from wearing flip flops. Experts warn of prolonged use, which they say can bring the risk of shin splints and joint pains. Flip flops have been responsible for twisted ankles, broken wrists and arms, aching toes, stubbed toes! My own daughter broke both front teeth after tripping over wearing a pair!
