On Tuesday of this week we shed a tear for our friend`s first born, (as they liked to call him). First born because he predated the birth of their first baby!

We first met George when he was middle aged and at 17 he was truly an old guy. In human years he would have been 119 years of age! He was a wonderful and friendly dog even in his older years!

I always believed that George really like me a lot for who I am and not because he was attracted to the the smell of my cat that lingered on my trousers where she had wound herself around my legs! His mother, Naughty Forty assured me this was so!

George spent his last week on holiday in Abersoch. We were there too! He loved the sea and his walks along the beach. As he pottered around, he looked happy in his environment with his sibling sisters and younger brother Teddy!

While we all knew that George`s days were coming to an end, we recognise this is a difficult time for his family.

We will miss him on Sunday pub walks!
